Project overview
In this project, we're leveraging the capabilities of an ESP32-S3 microcontroller along with the BQ76942
battery balancer IC to monitor and manage battery cell voltages effectively. The ESP32-S3, known for its
powerful processing capabilities and built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, serves as the brain of our
system, enabling seamless communication and control.
The BQ76942 battery balancer IC plays a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of our battery pack.
With its advanced features, including precise voltage monitoring and balancing, it helps maintain uniform
cell voltages across the battery pack, thus extending its lifespan and maximizing performance.
By integrating these components, our project aims to create a reliable and efficient battery management
system suitable for various applications, such as electric vehicles, renewable energy storage systems, and
portable electronics. Through real-time monitoring and intelligent balancing, we can optimize the
utilization of battery resources while safeguarding against overcharging, over-discharging, and cell
imbalances, ensuring a safer and more sustainable energy solution.
